A Day at SereneMinds: Our Daily Activity Programme

A typical resident's day, morning to evening.

Families often ask the same first question: "What will their day actually look like?" Here is a typical resident's day, from morning to evening.

What the Day Looks Like

Mornings start unhurried — wake-up, personal care with as much independence as each resident manages, charted morning medication and breakfast together. Light exercise follows, then the morning activity block: cognitive games, music, craft or gardening, matched to ability rather than imposed on everyone equally.

After lunch comes rest time — many residents nap, others read or sit in the gardens. Afternoons hold the one-to-one sessions, physiotherapy where referred, and unhurried time outdoors inside our secured grounds. Dinner is early and social, and evenings follow a deliberately consistent wind-down routine, which matters especially for residents who experience sundowning. Night staff check rooms through the night on the schedule set in each care plan.

The rhythm is the treatment: predictable days lower anxiety, protect sleep, and give residents things to look forward to.
